When Kanye West runs for president in 2024, he has requested former American president Donald Trump to serve as his running mate.
Following his unsuccessful attempt in 2020, the Stronger rapper has announced this week that he will run for office in the United States in 2024.
He asserted on Twitter on Tuesday that he had asked Trump to serve as his running mate during a visit to the Florida businessman’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
He said, “First time at Mar-a-Lago.” “traffic and rain. Unbelievable that I kept President Trump waiting. I was wearing jeans, too. Yikes… I asked him to be my running mate in 2024; what do you guys suppose he said?”
A poll with the choices “That’s very Ye” or “That’s very Nay” was inserted by Kanye. Right now, about 58% of voters selected the “That’s really Ye” response.
The 45-year-old made known this week that he has hired controversial far-right figure Milo Yiannopoulus to run his campaign.
Kanye ran as an independent for president of the United States in 2020 despite losing several business ties due to comments he made last month that were antisemitic. He earned nearly 70,000 votes, but Joe Biden ultimately defeated him.
Trump, who led the United States from 2017 to 2021, declared last week that he will run for president again in 2024.
In American politics, a running mate is someone who runs alongside another candidate in an election and is often appointed vice president if they win.
