Incident at the AMAs: Chris Brown wins the award, but the public does not like the decision

Chris Brown’s past continues to haunt the artist and this is best shown by the incident that happened at the “American Music Awards”.

Chris Brown was announced as the winner of Favorite Male R&B Artist, but was not present at the ceremony. The award was to be presented by Kelly Rowland and as soon as the winner was announced, the audience did not react as expected, instead cheering against him.

Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland accepted the award on behalf of Brown and calmed down the angry crowd. “Excuse me? Calm down!”, said the singer.

“I want to thank Chris for making such good R&B music and being a fantastic performer. I will take this prize for you. Love you. Congratulations!” said Kelly.

Public dissatisfaction comes as a result of the problematic history that Chris Brown has, where, in addition to the violence perpetrated by Rihanna (Brown’s partner at the time), the artist has been accused several times of violence, harassment, and even rape. The artist has denied all these accusations.
