Darlene Love is feeling the love this holiday season… Her gigs have sold out after Mariah Carey crowned her the Supreme Queen of Christmas.
Darlene’s representative, Len Evans, says TMZ… Darlene hasn’t spoken to MC since the social media debate about who should be the Xmas Queen, but she couldn’t be happy after Mariah sent her her roses.
ICYMI, Mariah gave Darlene the title of Queen of Christmas in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Darlene’s team claims that the recognition helped her sell out all 11 of her holiday shows! Some of her fans have divided their loyalty between her and Mariah, demonstrating that there is enough love for both.
one fan wrote. “I wasn’t a fan before and never heard of you but if Mariah says you’re the Queen of Christmas, then I’m a fan,”.
There has been a lot of back and forth about the QOC title since Mariah Carey applied to trademark the phrase, which was denied. Darlene was offended because she believed that anyone, including herself, should be free to use the term.
Darlene’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” is a holiday hit, as are her versions of “White Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “All Alone on Christmas” from ‘Home Alone 2.”
